How This Tool Works

This calculator pulls real pricing from our directory of 81 GLP-1 providers. Prices shown are the lowest published monthly rates for each provider. Actual costs may vary based on your dose, location, and specific plan.

HSA/FSA savings: When you select HSA/FSA payment, we estimate a 28% tax savings (based on the average marginal tax rate). Your actual savings depend on your tax bracket. GLP-1 medications prescribed by a licensed provider are eligible HSA/FSA expenses.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is compounded GLP-1 so much cheaper?
Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are made by licensed 503A and 503B pharmacies using the same active ingredients as brand-name drugs. They cost less because compounding pharmacies have lower overhead than large pharmaceutical manufacturers and no brand-name marketing costs. Compounded versions are legally available while FDA-recognized shortages persist.
Will my price go up as my dose increases?
It depends on the provider. Some charge flat monthly rates regardless of dose (like Refills Health at $159/mo for any semaglutide dose). Others charge more at higher doses. Check each provider's pricing page for dose-specific pricing.
Can I use insurance with compounded GLP-1?
Generally no. Insurance covers FDA-approved brand-name medications (Wegovy, Zepbound) with prior authorization, but not compounded versions. Some providers that prescribe brand-name medications (like PlushCare or Calibrate) can help you get insurance coverage.
