Strut Health Review 2026: Compounding Pharmacy With GLP-1 Telehealth

Strut Health is a compounding pharmacy in Dallas, TX that built a telehealth front end for weight loss, ED, hair loss, and skincare prescriptions. They compound medications in-house and ship direct. ACHC and LegitScript accredited, which is a higher bar than most telehealth startups meet. But a C- BBB rating and a polarized 2.9 Trustpilot score suggest operational issues behind the clinical legitimacy.

Pricing

Strut Health keeps pricing relatively simple. No membership fee, no consultation fee. You pay for the medication and shipping is included:

MedicationFormatMonthly Cost
Compounded SemaglutideInjectableFrom $199/month
Compounded SemaglutideOral lozengeFrom $199/month
Compounded TirzepatideNot availableN/A

At $199/month for compounded semaglutide, Strut is priced similarly to Hims ($199/month) and slightly above IVY RX ($175/month). The oral lozenge option at the same price as injectables is a nice touch. Not many platforms offer a non-injection format without charging extra.

Insurance is not accepted. FSA/HSA eligibility is not clearly stated on their site, so check with your benefits administrator before assuming coverage. For a full pricing comparison across all GLP-1 providers, see our cheapest GLP-1 guide.

What I Like

In-House Compounding

This is the key differentiator. Strut is an actual compounding pharmacy, not a telehealth middleman that forwards your prescription to a partner facility. They compound medications in their own Dallas facility, which gives them direct control over quality, potency, and turnaround times. Most competitors (including Hims, Found, and Fridays) outsource compounding to third-party 503A or 503B pharmacies. When you order from Strut, the same company that prescribed your medication is also making it.

In the STEP 1 trial, semaglutide 2.4mg produced 14.9% mean weight loss over 68 weeks, with 86.4% of participants losing at least 5% of body weight (NEJM, 2021). Whether you get semaglutide from Strut or another provider, the active ingredient is the same. The difference is who compounds it and how much oversight they have over the process.

ACHC and LegitScript Accredited

ACHC (Accreditation Commission for Health Care) accreditation requires on-site inspections and ongoing compliance audits. It is not a self-certification or a fee-for-badge arrangement. LegitScript certification adds another layer of verification for pharmacy licensing, prescribing practices, and safety standards. Having both puts Strut in a smaller group of GLP-1 telehealth providers that have undergone real third-party scrutiny. Many competitors have neither.

Oral Lozenge Format

Strut offers compounded semaglutide as an oral lozenge at the same price as the injectable version. If needles are a dealbreaker for you, this is worth knowing about. The lozenge dissolves sublingually (under the tongue) and avoids the weekly injection entirely. I started on injectable Mounjaro and got comfortable with the process, but I know plenty of people who would prefer a lozenge if it meant they could actually start treatment instead of putting it off.

Multi-Category Platform

Beyond weight loss, Strut compounds medications for ED, hair loss, skincare, and other conditions. If you want one telehealth pharmacy for multiple prescriptions, Strut covers more categories than most GLP-1-focused platforms. This is a convenience factor, not a clinical one, but it means fewer accounts and fewer apps to manage.

What Could Be Better

C- BBB Rating

A C- from the BBB is a serious warning sign. Complaints center on subscription cancellation difficulties, unfilled orders, and refund disputes. Multiple users report being charged after attempting to cancel. The pattern suggests that Strut’s billing systems do not reliably process cancellation requests. If you sign up, document your cancellation in writing (email, not just a phone call) and screenshot the confirmation.

2.9 Trustpilot Score

The Trustpilot profile is heavily polarized. Positive reviews (4 and 5 stars) praise fast doctor responses, easy onboarding, and medication quality. Negative reviews (1 star) describe subscription billing issues, orders that never arrived, and difficulty reaching support. There is not much in the middle. You either have a good experience with Strut or a bad one, with little in between. Compare that to Ro at 3.7 stars across 2,880 reviews or Hims with a larger and more evenly distributed review base.

HealthCheck Partnership Issues

Strut uses a company called HealthCheck for lab test distribution, and this partnership is at the center of many negative reviews on both Trustpilot and BBB. Customers report that lab test kits never arrived, were handled poorly, or produced confusing results. Lab work is important on GLP-1 medications because they can affect thyroid markers, blood sugar, and kidney function. I get my own bloodwork done regularly alongside my DEXA scans, and I would not want to rely on a lab partner with this kind of track record.

Semaglutide Only

Strut does not offer tirzepatide in any format. If your provider recommends tirzepatide (which showed 20.2% weight loss in the SURMOUNT-5 trial vs 13.7% for semaglutide), you need a different platform entirely. Henry Meds, Hone Health, and IVY RX all offer compounded tirzepatide. This is a significant limitation given that tirzepatide has shown stronger weight loss results in head-to-head clinical data.

No Coaching or Nutrition Support

Strut is a pharmacy that ships medication. There is no coaching, no nutrition guidance, no behavioral support, and no progress tracking. If you want a more supported weight loss program, Noom Med combines GLP-1 prescriptions with their behavior change curriculum, and Fella Health offers coaching designed for men. Strut is for people who already know what they want and just need the prescription filled.

Who Strut Health Is Best For

Strut fits a specific type of patient: someone who values pharmacy-level quality control and does not need hand-holding. The typical Strut user:

If the BBB and Trustpilot scores concern you (and they should give you pause), Hims offers compounded semaglutide at the same $199/month price point with a stronger customer service track record. If you want tirzepatide, skip Strut entirely and look at Henry Meds or MEDVi.
